Can You Become a Vampire? The Truth About REAL Vampires

Published by Dark Passenger at 4:25 pm under Vampires and Vampirism Edit This

Anu-Liisa VarisWelcome to Part 3 of our look at real vampires out there today where we’ll discuss some of the believed beginnings of this new breed of vampire.  If you missed Part 1on sanguinarian vampires or Part 2 on psi-vampires then make sure to check out those links to catch up on all the vampy goodness you’ve missed.  Don’t worry, clicking on the links won’t take you away from this part of the discussion. Cool

Now that we’ve taken some time to become familiar with the two different kinds of vampires out there in the world, we can now attempt to understand why we have vampires.  I mean, this is supposed to be the stuff of myth and imagination, right?  Come on, y’all…surely I’m not the only person out there who read about this for the first time and rolled their eyes because it just couldn’t be true.  Hello!  Skeptic here!  My mind instantly started conjuring up images of teens buying plastic fangs and trying to drink each others blood in the bathroom in between classes at school.

Wow.  Let me just be the first to admit that the things I had in my head about real vampires out there were totally and completely wrong.  Someone’s been watching way too many movies and television, peeps. Tongue out

Anyway, I won’t tell you I have the conclusive, definitive answer on this; I don’t.  For every kind of vampire, for every vampire community, there seems to be any number of theories.  I want to share with you some of what I think are the most plausible explanations - if the paranormal can ever truly be explained - and then I’ll share with you the answer I’ve found to the most popular vampire-related question out there: How can I become a vampire?

  • A bizarre form of anemia.  For whatever reason, the body of a sanguinarian vampire does not produce enough of whatever it is in human blood that gives us our life’s energy so it can only be obtained in adequate quantities through the consumption of non-vampiric blood.
  • Karmic debt - sort of.  For those who believe in past lives and karma, it is believed by some that vampires are seeking to take back what was lost in previous lifetimes.  For some, it was the loss of their blood being reclaimed; for others it is deeply rooted in an injury to the energy chakra that caused something to go massively wrong with the psi-vampire’s ability to create and store their own energy.  My own research on this one has been inconclusive as to whether they did something wrong in the past life or if there is ever a way to obtain enough energy to heal this wound.
  • Sympathetic Vampirism.  This isn’t as sweet an origin as it may sound.  A sympathetic vampire is simply one who was the victim of a psi-vampire attack that was either too strong or too prolonged, damaging the energy chakra as a result.  This sort of vampirism tends to be a short-term kind of thing that lasts only long enough for the chakra and the aura to regain the lost strength.  (Please Note: It should not be assumed that victims of prolonged psi-vampire attacks were intentionally chosen, nor should it be assumed the vampire was even aware of the damage being done.  Unintentional attacks will be discussed in a future part of this series)

So, okay already…I know some of you are ready to jump through the computer screen to make me answer the big question.  Here goes…

No.  If you are not a vampire then no one can make you a vampire - except in the case of temporary sympathetic vampirism.  Though there are a gazillion (how many zeros is that?) theories as to what originally caused vampires to exist, there is agreement about the fact that vampires cannot “sire” additional vampires as the movies would have us believe.  Either you are born a vampire or you are not.

Yes, yes.  I know, I know…everyone is rolling their eyes at that because you think if you were a vampire then you would already know because of crosses and garlic and silver or whatever the popular anti-vampire gear of the moment is, but an unawakened vampire would be clueless on this front.  Think about it for a second.  Are there really any babies whose first words are, “I’m a vampire?”

Um…I’m serious about that question, by the way.  Really, think about this.  Are you an unawakened vampire?  Would you know if you were?

Join me on Thursday for Part 4 of our look at  The Truth About REAL Vampires when we’ll discuss the Vampire Awakening.

As always, major thanks goes out to the various vampire communities out there who’ve been brave enough to put their beliefs and lifestyle information out there to help inform the public and new vampires!

Hey!  If you’re reading this and you actually want this series to continue - or you hate me and wish I’d stop - then why not leave me a comment so I know you’re out there?  Good, bad, whatever!  Comments on this blog only go thru moderation to make sure they aren’t filled with spam or excessive profanity.  If they aren’t, it’s getting put thru!

    Hi Jessie.

I think you have a valid question that deserves an answer; however, as I started to type it out, I realized that it would be far longer than should be posted as a comment…and it’s something best made easily found for others with the same question.

So I think the best thing to do here is for me to post the answer as tomorrow’s Fang Bangin’ Friday blog post. I’ll also come back to this page and post the link to the response for you - or anyone - who might be coming here for the answer.

Thank you for your question. Based on what I’ve seen, it’s far more common than the skeptics out there would have you believe.

so r vampires seriously real?? and if they r is it possible to become 1??

  5. jenwhittenon 02 Apr 2009 at 10:55 am edit this

Yes, vampires are seriously real…just not in the immortal, soulless, undead version so popular in books and movies.

Non-vampires cannot be “turned” or made vampires. It’s one of those things where you’re either born that way or you aren’t.

Vance, the last thing to consider in finding out if you are really a vampire or not, is ask yourself if that craving for blood is anything more than a craving, or only a craving. Vampires have a need for blood. While they do crave it, its a need that they suffer and get weak and sick without. But I assume you’ve already answered that.

The main way to control your cravings is just stay well fed. Maybe you can find a donor that would understand your need. You should try learning psi-feeding and that would help control the blood cravings. Its the energy (prana) in the blood you crave. Staying fed will not only reduce your cravings, but it also keeps you in better health and less pain than when not fed.

For the sunlight, using sunglasses helps, as does wearing long sleeved clothing. But those things only help, not eliminate the discomfort and sickness from exposure. Even when I wear long sleeves and sunglasses I still get very sick. The best advice I can give about the sunlight is just avoid it when possible since it will always cause pain.

    Solid advice, Angelo.
