Sun Sets on Your Dark Passenger
Everything with a beginning must also have an end, just as every rising sun must eventually set. That same philosophy can be applied to the life of blogs. Words, ideas, have their own shelf life, it would seem.
No, I have not decided to end Your Dark Passenger; just tweak it some.
Dark and delighting is still the name of the game, my friends. And I’ll be as sarcastic as ever. Have no fear of that changing. Actually, I don’t think I could change that if I wanted. What will change is the variety of the subject matter. We need more variety, don’tcha think? And we need more darkness. Oh…I do love my darkness.
So let’s chat about how I plan to mix switch things up:
Gone will be the Daily Delight, not that I’ve been doing much of that lately anyway so you probably won’t even notice it’s not around.
Will there still be vampires? You betcha! But the dark passenger cannot survive on vampires alone. Oh no. There’s a vast ocean of paranormal goodies out there and I think it’s time to discuss all of ‘em.
And I won’t stop there. You see, the darkness that goes bump in the night is great and all, yet I’ve always felt a special affinity for the darkness that goes bump within. I want to explore how the same thing can happen to two people and one will go on about their merry way while the other is irrevocably set down a path of dark destruction. Does that stem from an inability to cope or from something fundamentally fractured within them - a predetermination for madness, if you will?
Some of you might wonder at the effect this dark turn will have. That’s fair. Though, as I said at the beginning, dark and delighting is still the name of the game. I guess that means I’ll have to up the ante on the levity as the subject matter gets darker. Sound good?
Okay y’all, this is where you come in. No changes have gone into effect - yet. If you like the new direction, let me know. If you hate it with a deep and fiery passion then now would be the time to speak up lest it haunt you.
Don’t forget, every sunset gets a sunrise…

“Let your dark passenger come out to play…Be your own nemesis!”

Fabulous idea. I love vampires, but I’m especially into ghosts and the paranormal… but I’d welcome blog entries on the darkness within as well. Count one vote yes!
