Coming Soon to a Blog Near You…

Published by Dark Passenger at 2:45 am under Announcements Edit This

Subscribe to my feed for your ticket to all the excitement! Now that the 13 Days of Love are over and Valentine’s Day is behind us, what’s next for Your Dark Passenger?  For once, a simple answer: LOTS!!!

You may have noticed a slight change to the categories and if you haven’t then I’ll bet your eyes are being drawn over there now.  While each topic survived the cut - for now - gone are the daily assignments.  Why?  Because I’ve got the attention span of a gnat and if I want to talk about vampires on a Tuesday then I’m going to because I’ll forget what I wanted to say by Friday.  (Yes, I could go ahead and write for Friday in advance, but that would just be a little too easy.)

Make sure you take advantage of the poll in the sidebar that I’ll keep up until at least February 20th for voting.  Need more information about the topics?  Here you go:

  • The Secret Vampire-Werewolf War - Truth time…I’m not even sure if there is one outside of Hollywood and books.  I stumbled across some guy’s site where he was talking about it and how he was actively murdering vampires and those who help them.  Since I’ve spent some time writing about vampires, I thought I should look into this a little more to see if I should worry about some nut job coming to murder me over it.  Keep in mind, he might just be that (a nut job) and there could be nothing to all this…
  • Why I Hope the World Ends Like the Bible Says - This isn’t what you may think.  After studying a lot of the ways mankind could meet its demise, the idea of being beamed on up to Heaven doesn’t sound like the worst way to go.  This series is actually about all the various ways experts believe we’ll come to an end.  (Some of them are kind of neat; some of them are horrific.)
  • What I Learned from Fairy Tales - While the stories we tell kids are mainly filled with a bunch of fantastical crap, there are still some universal truths and lessons we can glean from them.  Of course, y’all know me so you know I’m not going to just come up with “you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince.”  Count on it having my own special brand of sarcasm.
  • NOTE: I reserve the right to run the series either here or The Stiletto Philosopher depending on where it will best fit.

Not really interested in any of those series topics?  Leave me a comment to let me know what you’d like to read about and I just might add it to my list.  You never know…

Other topics you’ll find covered in the near future include:

  • Mardi Gras/Carnivale - More than just an excuse for beaded raunchiness?
  • St. Patrick’s Day - I know the truth about this holiday.  Do you?
  • Easter - Seriously, what the heck does a chocolate bunny have to do with anything?
  • Habits of Vampires - Yep, I’ve got more on this one than just sleeping
  • Earth Day - I’m not even going to give you a teaser
  • Reviews - movies, music, blogs and books that are all Dark Passenger Approved

And that’s only a taste of what’s to come!  Make sure to subscribe to my feed in the sidebar (whichever side it’s on this week) so you won’t have to miss a minute.

Also, expect a writing related announcement very, very soon…

Jen

*shrugs* It wasn’t all that bad…until I found myself adding to Fang Bangin’ Friday on the odd Tuesday. I think that was when I decided the titles need to be switched.

Busy? Me? Naw! If I’m going to post anyway then I might as well already know what I’m going to write about. ;)

So what did you find on the guy who actively “kills” vampires? o.O Sounds like that guy has a few stories to tell…>.<

Are you some kind of superhuman writing machine with typewriter fingers?

Diedirigentin - I haven’t had time to look into it yet. I did read most of his site when I was there and honestly, he wasn’t all that interesting…and his writing was so riddled with misspellings and typos and poor grammar that I had trouble getting his point a lot of the time. I’m hoping he’s just a nut, but if peeps want to know about the secret war that may or may not exist then I’ll keep digging. (Not like I’ve got anything better to do most days). :(

Sean - Personally, I don’t think so. Why? Did that seem like a lot? I mean, I post at least once daily here and I attempt to the do the same on the other site so that’s only maybe two weeks worth of material spread out… :)

Be sure to check out the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris (or read a plot summary) on the first topic. It’s definitely explored in the series. (Also, the books are the foundation for the True Blood series, so the keywords are nice for blog traffic.) These are all great ideas!
