Are You a Fang Banger?
Well, how long did you really think I’d be able to go before I started talking vampires again?
And I missed being able to say “Welcome to Fang Bangin’ Friday” because that’s just an awesome thing to say. It puts a smile on my face every time.
Anyway, the Season 1 DVD set of True Blood *points to picture* is out and I’m having to think long and hard about whether I need this or not. Okay, so I already know I need it, but I’m trying to figure out how long I’m going to wait before I actually buy it.
For those of you living under a rock, True Blood is where I got the phrase ‘fang banger,” thus Fang Bangin’ Friday. Hello? Based on the Southern Vampire series of books? The show where the vampires “come out of the coffin” and normal peeps have to cope with them and the bottles of True Blood they drink to survive?
Not ringing any bells? *shrugs*
It’s odd. I don’t buy a lot of TV shows that go to DVD. The last one was S2 of Dexter. (Note to self…check when S3 goes on sale.) But I really enjoyed True Blood this year. I didn’t want to. Oh…I did not want to. I just couldn’t resist.
It’s vampires…in the South. Y’all…The chick’s name is Sookie. What does that sound like when Foghorn Leghorn Dracula says it? You got it - Suckie.
Come on! I can’t be the only one having a Jr. High moment over this. It’s a show about vampires - who drink blood because we aren’t talking about real vampires or anything - and the yummy vampire treat blonde’s name is Suckie!
Never mind. I’ll be an adult again. I guess.
For anyone who’s not seen True Blood or missed a few episodes during it’s first run on HBO, I suggest you start planning your catch up time now. I’ve got no clue when to expect the new season, but I suppose it will be over the summer, probably near the end of it. (Yes, I am too lazy to open a new window to check.) The point is that you need to start planning now if you’re going to catch up in time. Let’s face it, life is going to start getting really busy around, oh, say, Memorial Day.
How could it not be busy when you’ve got a Federal Holiday every month or so?
Sorry for the picture overload today. I have found so many fang bangin’ fun shirts for this show that if I tried to put them all up y’all’d probably think I was even crazier than usual. Hmm…I wonder what it would look like if I got little thumbnails of all the shirts and lined them up like a fang banger army for my blog? Something to ponder…
…after I place my True Blood order. It’s all about priorities, people. ![]()

I love the show, but I don’t think I can enjoy the next season as much without Lafayette.
I know. I would just wait for him to say something each week. *sniff sniff*
I’ll have to check it out. Any hot guys in it?
Erm…I think that’s subjective. I tend not to think Vampire Bill (the one who always says “Sucky”) is all that attractive, but I know loads of fans do. Vampire Eric isn’t bad though…not too bad at all.
You’re not the only one. I want some Bill … er, Season 1 DVD. You know, you can be friends with Bill on Facebook. There are LOTS of hot guys…if the show is anything like the books, as it goes on, it will feature a variety of sexy men.
Who doesn’t like Eric? Mmmm.
I’ve never watched this one but will have to give it a try. I hear the Sookie books are really good.
Hi Jen: I have given an award, please visit my blog to collect it at http://www.myheartvoice.com
If it wasn’t for people like you, my words would stay old fashioned, and not up with the times. Fang Banger. I’m going to write that one down.

Tara - Yes, of course it’s the S1 DVD you’re after, not the hotties. Hmm…here’s hoping the series follows the books and they parade the eye candy around in front of us. I’m always ready for a little of that.
Jckat - I personally haven’t read the books, but several of my friends have told me how good they are. I won’t lie…the show gets a little cheesy at times, but I really enjoyed it…and I usually find the various vampire offerings to be total jokes.
Lilysgramma - Thank you! I keep meaning to start a page for the awards since I never do posts for them, but I just can’t ever seem to get around to it. Maybe this’ll be the week.
Marilynne - For a split second while reading the beginning of that sentence I thought you were going to tell me that people like me were what’s wrong with the world. I’m really glad it went the other way.
I have to give the author of the book series credit for Fang Banger, but still a good one to add to your vampire vocabulary.
