Happy Monday, dark passengers .  If you’re anything like me then Mondays aren’t typically happy days.  Back to school, back to work, the end of a weekend full of fun…I’m with you on that.  There’s a reason they have song about how Monday sucks.

However, I might just have a little bit of insider info to brighten up this otherwise crummy day…

Happy weekend, dark passengers.  Although we have more paranormal terminology to cover on Your Dark Passenger, I wanted to give you something a little more interesting to contemplate this weekend.  So let’s take two of my favorite things - conspiracy theories and the paranormal - and smash ‘em together.

There’s actually quite a lot to this one so I think we’d best break it down into pieces.  First, we’ll talk about what the Hollow Earth is.  Then we’ll tackle where the conspiracy comes into play.

What is the Hollow Earth Theory?

Honestly, this is one of those things where it’s hard to tell whether the theory was born and spawned the science fiction stories or if the stories captured people’s imaginations and brought about this theory.  Either way, plenty of websites are devoted to this bizarre idea.  Don’t believe me?  Google it.

Anyway…

Think back to your Earth Science courses from school about what you were taught about the Earth.  You know, the planet is centered around a dense, hot core.  Around the core is a liquid mantle of burning magma.  The Earth’s crust floats over top of that mess on an intricate network of techtonic plates.

I don’t know about you, but that always sounded sort of complicated to me.  The Hollow Earth Theory might make more sense.  Let’s find out.

Happy Friday, dark passengers!  This isn’t the official post for the day or anything; I just wanted to give a quick update on something I mentioned a few weeks back.

The book club that I was going to be holding over on The Stiletto Philosopher isn’t going to happen.  I’ve decided to let that site take a bit of break while I work on other things. I only had one person speak up to show any interest in the discussion series so I’m guessing no one will be too terribly devastated by this news.

However…Y’all know I’m totally in love with Blasphemy by Douglas Preston so I’m just going to move that little gem over here.  I mean, the book deals with the religion debate and I’ve already established that religion falls into the realm of the supernatural so…Yeah, I can justify anything.

Anyway, we were originally going to start this on Monday, April 6th.  Since I’m switching things up on y’all, I’m going to postpone this by a week until Monday, April 13th.  So if you haven’t read this one yet, you’ve got loads of time.  Buy, borrow or steal - not really because theft is wrong, yo! - this book and join me back here on the 13th for some thought-provoking fun.

Welcome back, dark passengers.  Since we’ve been spending the last few days on Your Dark Passenger reviewing paranormal basics, I thought it was time to give you something really juicy to sink those fangs teeth into.  But let’s see…what could we talk about?  Ooh…

Are you possessed by a demonic presence?

Guess what?  If you’re reading this on a computer then you just might be!

Of course, before I explain to you just what in tarnation I mean by that, I’m going to back up and talk a bit about demon oppression vs demon possession.  Trust me, it’s an important distinction - especially since my research indicates just about all of us are coping with one of these.  (You’ll understand why I say that by the time you’ve read this post in its entirety.  I’ve taken the information from multiple sources and I promise I’ve not made any of it up.)

Demon Oppression

This is when demonic forces or entities are bugging or harassing you.  A person suffering from demon oppression might have their behavior influenced by the oppressing demon.  They may also feel an unnatural “weight”pressing down on them either mentally or spiritually.

Welcome back to Your Dark Passenger.  As you know, we’ve been spending a bit of time getting comfortable with the paranormal and supernatural basics.  Today, our studies continue in the exciting world of Cryptozoology.

Don’t worry, y’all.  It’s not the study of animals who rob crypts.  That would just be bizarre.

Actually, Cryptozoology is the study of hidden animals.  If the thought of tracking such creatures as the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot gets your adrenaline pumping then perhaps you’ve got an exciting career as a Cryptozoologist in your future.  Of course, you’ll be labeled a crazy person by most of the members of the mainstream scientific community…

Oh well.
